Does stainless steel need care near the sea?
Yes. 316L offers good corrosion resistance, but no stainless steel is immune to corrosion. Salt deposits, standing moisture and harsh chemicals can affect the surface. Clean regularly, rinse away salt and dry thoroughly, especially in coastal settings.
Which cleaning products should I avoid?
Avoid chlorine bleach, chloride-containing or strongly acidic cleaners, steel wool and abrasive scouring pads. These can damage or contaminate the surface. Choose a mild, non-abrasive cleaner suitable for stainless steel, and rinse thoroughly after use.
